Briscoe Vance enlisted in the Union Army on October 14, 1864 at a location in Knoxville, Tennessee. At the time of his enlistment he was mustered into “M” Company, US CT 1st Heavy Artillery.
He was born in North Carolina and was married to Lucinda Vance.
