Clyde M. Floyd

Clyde M. Floyd, age 87, passed away January 1, 2022, at Parkwest Hospital in Knoxville. Clyde was a member of First Farragut United Methodist Church. He was born in Knoxville to Samuel Howard and Edna Sands Floyd on August 2, 1934.

Clyde had many accomplishments in his life, he coached CBFO basketball and football, volunteered with the Farragut High Athletic Department and was on the Chain Gang for 42 yrs. He kept Farragut High Football stats and wrote a book that spanned those 42 yrs. He loved golf and had 5 holes in one in his life time. He sponsored many tournaments to raise money for the Farragut and Lenoir City Athletic Departments. Clyde also proudly served in the US Navy. Clyde is survived by his wife of 65 years, Rosemary Floyd; daughter, Cindy Camp (Martin Smith); son, Steven Floyd (Kathy); grandchildren, Christine Camp, Kelsey Irwin (Ben), Elizabeth Salasin (John), Rachel Floyd; and great-granddaughter, Emory Salasin.

Family and friends will gather 1pm Friday, January 7, 2022, at Pleasant Forest Cemetery for a graveside service.
