David Campbell is buried in an unmarked grave in this cemetery. The pictured stone was erected in his memory in 1925. Born: 1753 Died: 1815 Fought in the Revolutionary War at Kings Mountain with Colonial John Sevier's regiment. Co-founder and builder of Campbell Station in Knox County, TN. He descends from Alexander Campbell, Inverary, Arghishire, Scotland. Inscription: 1925 In memory of David and Nancy Steel Campbell who with two brothers emigrated from Virginia and built the Fort and were founders of Campbell Station. Died in 1815. Was grantor of this tract of land for church and cemetery in the year 1800.
