May 23, 1999   -   April 14, 2022

Austin Eaton, 22 of Knoxville, passed away suddenly on April 14, 2022. Born May 23, 1999, Austin brought pure joy and life to his family. From a very early age, his ability to communicate and write became evident. He loved reading, writing, music and film. He graduated Hardin Valley Academy in May 2017. He took some time after high school and was a full time second-year student at Pellissippi State where he made the Dean's list Fall 2021. Austin was a fan of pro wrestling and spent a year wrestling at the School of Morton where he wrestled under the name of Austin Henry. He was proud of his championship belt, brief as the title was. A big fan of classic rock, Austin and his mom Kathryn attended a number of classic rock concerts. His first was Aerosmith. She took him and his "brother from another mother", Nick Sayegh as a gift for Austin's 13th birthday. They had so much fun and such great memories. Mom and son saw Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, Foreigner, 38 Special, the Eagles, many others, and most recently Eric Clapton and Jimmy Vaughan. Austin had a dry sense of humor that many missed. But he and Opa (German for grandfather) had a lot of fun with their dry sense of humor and brought lots of laughter to the family events. Austin was passionate about social issues and deeply concerned for the future of this planet. He never hesitated to present his points, backed by loads of research to anyone who would listen. It is something he got from his Opa. He had been working on a novel over the last year and was hoping to finish it this summer. The world lost a gifted writer when Austin's light went out.
