Michael Robert Jones   BORN: May 1, 1959   DIED: November 29, 2001

Robert Michael Jones, 42, of Knoxville died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Concord and recently attended Calvary Baptist Church in Lenoir City. He was an employee of First Utility Water District where he was locator supervisor. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Axie and Bill Davenport, Catherine and Richard Jones; and uncle, Joe Davenport.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Taphne Waldrop Jones; children, Hayley age 12, Micah age 10 and Michaela age 6; parents, Robert and Melba Jones of Farragut; sister, Teresa Goff and husband, Richard of Farragut; niece and nephew, Colton and Tori Goff; mother and father-in-law, Candy and Lamar Waldrop; brother-in-law, Jason Waldrop and wife, Brooke and their daughter, Chaslyn; and Jeffrey Waldrop and wife, Shana and their children, Hayden and Keiley; his wife's grandmother, Evelyn Shubert.

The family received friends 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Click Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Click Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Bryant and Rev. Jeffrey Waldrop officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Forest Cemetery with Rev. Steve Taylor and Rev. Bobby Lockwood officiating. Serving as pallbearers were Jason Waldrop, Jeffrey Waldrop, Richard Goff, Andy Jackson, Jamie Davenport and Mike Neff.
