 MORRISON, KENNETH "KEN" SMITH - age 76, of Powell, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 18, 2011. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Powell. Ken was a veteran of the US Army, attended Carson-Newman College, the University of Tennessee, and was a retiree of TVA with 33 years of service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph "Joe" R. and Irene Smith Morrison; brother, James E. Morrison; sister, Juanita Russell; sister-in-law, Iva Morrison. Survivors include wife, Thelma Hunt Morrison; daughters, Melissa Dykes and husband Dwight, Marie Rucker and husband Johnny; son, Kenneth Michael Morrison and wife Cheryl; 7 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Howard Morrison, of Lenoir City; sisters-in-law/brother-in-law, Rachel Hunt, Helen Keltz, Mary Ann and Richard Smith; brothers-in-law/sister-in-law, Raymond and Ann Hunt, Claude Hunt; nephew, Ronald Russell; several other nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be 7:30 P.M. Tuesday in the Curtis Hudson Chapel of Temple Baptist Church, Powell with Dr. Clarence Sexton, Rev. Dave Rosser officiating. Pallbearers: Paul Larue, Sterling Sharp, Ramon Lee, James Allison, Bill Cloud, John Vincent, Andy Lane, Jim Collins. Honorary pallbearers: Earl Vanderhoof and Ronald Russell. The family and friends will meet Wednesday at Pleasant Forest Cemetery, Farragut for a 11:00 A.M. graveside service. The family request memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 1700 W.
