Lela Brown, passed away December 21, 2020, in Chattanooga, TN. She was born February 17, 1953 in Huntsville TN to James and Lucille Thomas. Lela graduated from Roane State College with a degree in Accounting. She also added her Real Estate License. She worked for the United States Geological Survey as a Hydrologist. She measured many of the Remote Rivers in Tennessee. One of her favorite stories, she was alone taking a measurement in the middle of a creek fully outfitted with a long staff and headphones. She was concentrating on counting clicks when she saw out of the corner of her eyes two bear cubs and a mother bear looking at her. She was not sure the mother bear knew what she was. Lela froze in her tracks until the bears went away. That was when she says she found out what people meant by their knees knocking together because hers sure did!
She worked for several elite businessmen including Robert E. White and Harold Pierce performing Accounting and Real Estate Acquistions. She was a board member, Corporate Secretary and Co-Owner of Optimal Health PLLC and Brown Chiropractic. Her loves include horses, travel, spending time with friends and above all spending time with her family. The one word that describes Lela the best is love!!
