Luther "Clint" Baker

Luther "Clint" Baker age 69 gained his wings on September 22, 2022. Clint was a founding member of Landbrook Baptist Church in Knoxville, TN where he served as a Trustee and Choir Leader for many years. He dedicated his life to serving Jesus. He was an avid Fisherman, Hunter, and Golfer. He developed many friendships and was able to witness to others while enjoying these hobbies. He worked as a Welder/Machinist at Tennessee Tool and Engineering in Oakridge, TN for 45 years before retiring in 2019. He was known as "Sparky" to many of his Friends and Co-workers. Upon his retirement, they dedicated a shop tournament to him and named it "The Sparky Baker Annual Fishing Tournament". He was so proud of this. He was a devoted Family Man who dearly loved his Wife, Children, and Grandchildren.

Clint was preceded in death by his Father, Luther George Baker; Grandson, Matthew Hunter Parr; Sisters, Telitha Howell, And Tamela Lewis; Brother-in-law, Delmar Loy; Nephew, Jeffrey Loy and Niece, Rebecca Bores. He is survived by his Wife of 48 years, Carita Baker; Daughters, Carmen Allison (Drew), and Amanda Parr (Josh); Grandchildren, Aaron Harb, Skylar Parr, Aliyah Harb, and Zoe Baker; Mother, Twila Baker; Sisters, Paula Loy and Judy McBee; and several Nieces and Nephews and many lifelong friends.

Family will receive friends 4-6pm Monday September 26, at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel with a service to celebrate his life to follow at 6pm,, Rev. Andy Moore, officiating. Graveside service will be 11 am Tuesday September 22, at Pleasant Forest Cemetery.
