Samuel Houston (Sam) Taylor Sr., 87, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on December 7, 2024. Sam was a graduate of Everett High School, earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Tennessee, and was a proud United States Air Force veteran. He worked for four years with Ernst and Ernst CPA before dedicating much of his career to Albers Drug Company, where he served as Executive Vice President. Later, he retired as President of Skyland Medical Supply. In 1998, Sam purchased Dixie Lee Wines and Liquors. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Taylor and Ellen McMurray Taylor and his first wife, Gerry Guarna Taylor. Sam is survived by his wife, Linda Anderson Taylor; children, Samuel Houston Taylor III (Julia), Ellen Taylor Jones (Randy), Melanie Jaynes, and Andy Taylor (Kip Hill). He also leaves behind six grandchildren: Joshua Monday, Abbey Taylor Charles (Joey), Jessica Jones, Ian Forton, Allison Taylor, and Andrew Forton; along with a great-grandson, Roman Charles. The family will receive friends at Click Funeral Home Farragut Chapel on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a Rosary immediately following. A funeral Mass will be held at St. John Neumann Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., with a graveside service immediately following at Pleasant Forest Cemetery in Farragut, Tennessee.
